Taking care of yourself so you can care for others!

After more than two decades in health, wellness, and fitness, I can tell you this is one of the hardest lessons to learn as an adult, much less as a business owner. This will be a short blog post, but you'll quickly get the point.

Long hours are associated with several negative health consequences. This article from Entrepreneur (https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/272611) in 2016 states some facts that we should all be aware of and likely are. The more you work, the more stressed out you are and the less you are taking time to properly care for yourself. How do I know this? We each have only 24 hours in a day.

To work 55 hours weekly (see the article), means an average of almost 8 hours daily.... every day... 7 days each week. Or, if you're working 5 days weekly, that's 11 hour days! If almost half of your day is spent working, then you only have the other half to eat, sleep, commute, exercise, and spend time with family and friends. There's just not enough time to make up for the added stress of excess work.

So, if you want to be at your best and to be around to employ others and care for your family, then have a plan in place to care for yourself! If you need an objective eye to look at your schedule and help you create efficiency in your business, we are here to help. And after all of those years in the fitness industry, I am happy to connect you with a trainer or instructor to guide you if needed. :)
